The campaign

This campaign is meant to introduce a novel tool into our modern vocabulary of human textile: a mechanical loom that can perform the essential manipulation required for weaving without weft. This is the Bead-and-Comb Loom.

This device is powerful, inexpensive, and simple. I believe that this technology will be embraced as a modern folkway, and will invigorate textile as a part of our material lives. I am publishing this knowledge on this website on a free, open basis as means of disclaiming this knowledge via public dissemination.

I am publishing my work in this manner for two reasons: 1) to encourage widespread, non-exclusive adoption of this novel, powerful textile process, and 2) to establish my own public claim of artistry and authorship.

My ultimate goal is to help develop useful, beautiful, ancient textile structures into modern currency (in the broadest sense of the word) through mechanical efficiency. But, I cannot do it alone - frankly, I would not want to! And so, the plan is to simply divest and disseminate this technology through publication.

YOUR SUPPORT:

Everybody is invited to participate! Support, engage, share the work, or simply stay up-to-date.

I am currently seeking a publisher to assist in disseminating this project. Potential publishers should have the ability to communicate ideas of textile and/or art technique, critique, and products. The ability to work in both digital formats and hard copy is essential. Potential publishers should have a track record of quality, durable reference publication.

I am also actively seeking industrial partners to co-develop downstream patentable properties, manufacturing models, and product development. This is the window of opportunity folks.

Thank you for viewing my work. Peace!
